If you are driving:

Look for the red pub in Tollgate Road called the Railway Inn / The Dust Hole, and turn off Tollgate Road here into Blakey Road. Drive straight to the end of Blakey Road and you will see Bodywise Pilates (Volpoint House) on your left, immediately before Clownabout (a distinctive metallic building with "Welcome to Outburst" on it). You can park free of charge outside Volpoint House, and there is also free parking along the right-hand side of Blakey Road. (Additionally, you can park outside the snooker club in Tollgate Road free of charge for 2 hours.)

Tollgate Road can be accessed from Southampton Road (A36), but there is no right turn into it if you are coming from the east (past the big Tesco, B&Q, and Majestic) so you need to go around College Roundabout and back on yourself. Turn left into Tollgate Road, after Salisbury College and immediately before the Mercedes Benz garage.

Tollgate Road can also be accessed from Milford Hill / Milford Street, or from Churchill Way East (the ringroad), by turning onto Rampart Road and following it parallel to the ringroad until it bends left (at The Tollgate Inn) and becomes Tollgate Road.

If you are walking:

It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the centre of town (market square) to the studio:

  • From market square, walk down Queen Street (going south) then cross the road and continue straight on down Catherine Street.
  • Turn left into Ivy Street at The Cloisters pub. Keep walking straight ahead (east) for a few minutes (up Trinity Street, Barnard Street, and Paynes Hill) until you reach the ringroad.
  • Take the subway under the ringroad, and as you walk up the ramp the other side, carry on straight ahead down St Martins Street (there is no road sign, but you should be heading towards the church with the ramp directly behind you).
  • About 50 metres from the subway (i.e. before you get to the church) cross the road and turn left into St Martins Terrace, an alleyway which leads to Tollgate Road.
  • Turn right onto Tollgate Road and continue until you have passed the Five Rivers Snooker / Indoor Bowls Club and City Plumbing.
  • Turn left into Blakey Road - there is a red pub on this corner called The Railway Inn / The Dust Hole. Walk along Blakey Road almost to the end. Bodywise Pilates is immediately before a big metallic building with a large sign on it saying "Welcome to Outburst".
  • If you are walking from Salisbury train station, walk down Fisherton Street until you reach the traffic lights at Barclays Bank. Turn right here into High Street, then turn left into New Street and continue in a straight line up the hill to the ringroad (picking up the instructions above from the subway). It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the studio from the station.
